This morning our elementary and middle school students participated in buddy reading. Buddy reading is where our middle school students come and read with our elementary students. What a fun way to encourage reading.

Elijah Stayner is a Burr Oak senior and a student in the Computer Networking Technologies program at the Branch Area Careers Center. Elijah is a Help Desk Technician at Infinisource in Coldwater under the supervision of Trevor Kokinis. Elijah’s duties include computer system setups, completing Help desk tickets, imaging machines, and general information technology maintenance. Elijah believes his OJT training has helped him determine what the real workplace is like outside of the classroom. http://branch-isd.org/bacc/elijah-stayner/

The menu included in Oak Openings mistakenly has an early release day for Friday, January 17. The early release day is actually Monday, January 20. Students will be released at 11:30 am that day. We apologize for the confusion.
